Can strength training reduce the risk of dying early
To do 2 hours weight training and be able to reduce the risk of premature death by 13% and Cardiovascular disease by 19% and neurological disease by 27% is impressive. So our message to our patients is do it and do it well with a trainer; start slowly if you have not done any weight training before and build it up. Make sure especially for you guys to work your lower as well as your upper body - your leg and gluteal strength as well as your abs are important to prevent and reduce back pain. Upper body work done correctly will help your posture and reduce cervical spine pain especially if you have a head forward posture.
