Cranial Osteopathy
Adults as well as children and babies can benefit from cranial treatment and it can be used alone or with a combination of other osteopathic techniques. Cranial osteopathy is a type of osteopathic treatment that encourages the release of stresses and strains in the body.
Although, often known as 'cranial osteopathy' as many of the techniques are performed on the face and head it is a technique that can be used anywhere on the body.
At Kane and Ross Clinics the experienced osteopaths have very finely developed sense of touch to feel subtle movements or stresses or stains in the body. During treatment patients feel relaxed and may feel a slight sensation of tissues moving or heat.
Patients often present at the clinic with the following symptoms:
- Back and neck pain
- Headaches
- Face pain and jaw problems
- Low back pain
- Pain in pregnancy or post-natal
